I got the blue vegan leather since I can't trust myself to keep the white one clean especially since I used my Supernote Nomad for field work. It feels absolutely nice and premium. I ended up replacing this with the canvas version but will break this one out on special occasions.
My only gripe is I wish there was a magnetic clasp to keep the folio closed. But the way it currently is works fine.
I own a 2024 iPad Mini with Apple Pencil Pro and the reMarkable2. I have to say, having used the Supernote Nomate for a month now, I've come to realized that it's my favorite notetaker. I use it for work (field notes, meetings, minutes, etc.) and personal (journaling, workout logs, etc.) and I love the look of the device and the feel of the writing experience. It's not as scratchy as the reMarkable and not as painfully smooth as writing on an LCD screen. It sits just in the middle for me and the ceramic pen tips not needing replacement was a huge plus for me. I also like how powerful it is when it comes to note organization and how you can 'star' notes/headings to search back for later.
Also, I LOVE the ability to use the Kindle App. I don't purchase books through Kindle anymore but it's nice to have an e-ink device where I can read my entire library instead of on my phone.
My only qualms with it are the shortcut gestures sometimes don't register correctly until after a few attempts (undo and redo in particular) and the lasso tool two-finger shortcut can also be a bit finicky. Otherwise, those are just minor gripes.
I'd also like the ability to be able to install other reading apps like the Barnes & Noble NOOK reading app in the future.
Kudos to the team at Rata. This is a marvelous device.
I've been using it for about 2 months, and despite that I feel I'm still using the basic features, I love how Manta supports my creative flow. I realized that there were a lot of tasks I was trying to do in a computer that were hindering my thinking and creative process. I got my flow back :-)
The design and workflow is absolute elegance.
Light, Easy to take anywhere it's the perfect size.
The screen texture is the tablet best feature feels really pape like.
The supernote is quality tablet compared to others in the industry and at very competitive price that can be beat.
Better than I expected...I thought that I would get this and only use it a few times before deciding it could not compete with pen and paper but I was wrong. I use this all the time to take notes and I can actually remember where I write things by organizing my notes in folders. I can even use it to replace a paper planner. I've only had one for a short time, but I think I will be using this for a long time to come as I use this for personal and professional meetings. It's not perfect, but it's definitely a worthwhile investment if you write.
Soft folio for my supernote nomad, happy that theres a place to put my pen so i dont lose it!
