The looks is superb--sophisticated, daring, modern, retro, whatever adjectives you wish to use to describe your style, they mostly fit here. I'm impressed by the quality
As for paper like feel, I was a bit surprised since I thought the surface would be rougher, not smoother, so it may initially feel like "just a tablet," but the ceramic stylus tip goes a long way. Midway through a sketch, I simply forgot I wasn't using paper. So, the feel is smooth, but the traction, the resistance, of paper IS there when you... let your mind go.
The setup tutorial on first power-on is great, the UI is great--as expected the red dot award (to which I say, German quality, baby)
I previously purchased the A6 several years ago and loved it. The A6 X2 is an improvement on an already existing excellent product. The recent software update even allows it to work as a standalone external drawing pad. That coupled with the note taking, drawing software, and ebook capabilities make it an astounding choice for anyone deciding on an e-ink tablet. (The original A6 is still going strong, it’s now my wife’s primary reading device. The longevity of the super notes are great!)
This is the right size for me, I journal and i can have this with me every where because of its size. I love it. And still learning great things about it all the time.
The A5X2 is great as a notebook, a journal, scratch paper, and whatever other writing purpose. It’s also good for annotating and reading pdfs and epubs. Product delivers on all its promises.
