Supernote Device Policy

Last updated: Oct 27, 2026

What this policy covers

Every Supernote device has a unique serial number. This policy explains when Supernote may flag a serial number, what a flag means, and how to ask us to review one.

The flag is a Supernote-wide measure. It applies to any Supernote device, whichever store, region, reseller, or second-hand channel it was bought through. A flag placed in one region is recognized in all of them.

When we may flag a device

We may flag a serial number where:

  • Lost or stolen. The device has been lost or stolen, including during transportation to our warehouses or customers, while stored in our warehouses, or after delivery to the customer, supported by reasonable evidence.
  • Payment reversed. The payment for the device was reversed or charged back, and the device was delivered but has not been returned to us or otherwise paid for.
  • Replacement not returned. We sent a replacement device and asked for the original device to be returned, and it was not returned of our request.
  • Service abuse. The device has been used to abuse our cloud, update, or systems.

What a flag means

A flag does not automatically lock a device. Some flagged devices are waiting for our further investigation, and we will decide whether to lock them once it is complete.

While a device is locked, warranty services, repairs, returns, and exchanges will generally be suspended until the flag is removed, subject to applicable laws and any exceptions determined by Supernote.

Your notes and files are not deleted by a lock. They remain on the device and are available again once the lock is released.

Buying a used Supernote device

Please check the Warm Reminder for Second-hand Purchases and the Flagged Devices List. If a device is flagged, we recommend you do not buy it.

If you think a flag is a mistake

Email feedback@supernote.com with:

  • The device serial number
  • Your proof of purchase (order related emails, invoice etc.)
  • A short description of what happened, and why you think the flag is a mistake

We will review your request and reply. If the flag was applied in error, we will remove it.

If your device was lost or stolen, please report it to us at the same email address, with your serial number and police report if you have one, so we can flag it for you.
