This is my new favorite note-taking place. It replaces legal pads which I have been using for 20 years, and which I never thought I would replace.
However, the interface is fairly difficult to figure out and is not very intuitive. The documentation is wonderful, and if you are willing to RTFM, you won’t have any problems. It’s only if you assume “I got this”, like I did, that it is difficult.
I also am not a fan of the canvas cover. It doesn’t “hold” the whole device and is only attached in the center of the back, which means that when you grab it from your bag you will bend the cover back about 50% of the time.
The standard pen is excellent, with good heft and I love the feel of the tip on the screen. I like to write with fountain pens, and this doesn’t match a $200 fountain pen on Tomoe River paper but I didn’t expect it to. I just wanted the feel of pen on paper, which I get. The construction of the standard pen feels somewhat cheap, but I’m willing to accept that for a relatively inexpensive stylus pen. Again, I’m not expecting a $200 Italian fountain pen here.
Overall: I love the tablet, enjoy the stylus, and tolerate the cover.
