At first, I was trying to use my old methods of organization, but once I let go of folder structure and went just with keywords search on handwriting instead of text, I found myself using my supernote nomad for a lot of things. My phone time was reduced and over half and I feel better. I’m excited to see what I can do next and also I’m saving up to get a supernote Manta next!
I’ve kind have been off and on when it comes to drawing these past couple of years and haven’t had much motivation to draw. However after being gifted a Supernote Nomad I’ve been doodling like crazy. There’s something about the simplicity of it that makes it less daunting than a blank sheet of paper or even a blank digital canvas to start an art piece. I’ve had a great time reconnecting with drawing through Supernote. <3
I got the super note to help me journal more and it has been fantastic for that. I have also been reading a lot which it is also great for
I bought this to have less notebooks for work. I am a chef and oversee multiple restaurants so it’s nice to be able to separate them and have a section for recipes. I used to have 3 different notebooks and a calander which is all being done on the Nomad now!
I had the Nomad and loved it but my writing needs more space. I absolutely love the Mantra. The built in pen holder and unique cover attachment make it slim and beautiful. The design is superb and deserves all the awards. The GUI was really well laid out. In the future it would be nice to have more robust artistic features. More brushes, layers, etc. The automatic line feature is absolutely amazing. Add one for circles and squares and that would really be some gravy.
I got the Manta after a few weeks of deliberating; I had seen a friend use it and instantly got hooked to the feeling of using a Supernote device. I started looking at the Manta immediately and simultaneously started building a pros and cons list across a few other devices made by other companies. Two weeks later, the Manta was still at the top of the list!
That's the crazy thing, there's very little that supernote has compromised in getting you to that pure writing feel. I truly feel like I don't need to go back to paper to write notes down at work, sketch at home (Atelier) and have it all synced effortlessly.
Sideloading apps is easy. I can use Obsidian to journal, use handwriting recognition to turn it all into future-proof notes and mark-up PDFs that can also now be "digested". Way to go, Ratta!
Oh and did I mention that everything is upgradable, if you so wish? Big props on an effort to reduce e-waste!
Supernote devices are really for those who write and if you find yourself wanting a frontlight like so many others, do read their philosophy and I promise you, it's going to make sense. Or just buy a small USB-c nightlight.
